New book on Reservation

The newest addition to Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series is Ward Pound Ridge Reservation from authors Beth Herr of Putnam County and Maureen Koehl, a long-time Lewisboro resident and town historian. The book boasts more than 200 vintage images.

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation’s expansive landscapes and long-abandoned cellar holes tell a unique story. The area was set aside by the Westchester County Parks Commission in 1925 and boasts 4,315 acres. It holds within its boundaries a legacy left by the Native Americans and 18th- and 19th-century families who farmed the rolling fields and rocky hillsides.

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is available at area bookstores, independent retailers, and online retailers, or through Arcadia Publishing at 888-313-2665 or arcadiapublishing.com.
