Hockey: John Jay blasts Greeley, 7-2

The John Jay hockey team remained undefeated, and more importantly climbed to the top of the Section 1 Division 2 standings, with an impressive 7-2 win over previously unbeaten Greeley on Saturday night at Brewster Ice Arena.

The Indians (13-0-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first period.

Shawn Smith led the way with three goals, while Frazier Bostwick had two goals and an assist. John Tobin and Anthony Scapperotti also scored.

The Quakers, who entered the game atop the Division 2 standings, dropped to 12-1-2.
