Stern Wellness Center, owned by Dr. Lawrence G. Stern and formerly located in Yellow Monkey Village in Cross River, is moving to a new location — the lower level of the Orchard Square at Cross River shopping center, next to Treat frozen yogurt.
Dr. Stern has been practicing in Cross River for the past two years and decided to make the move, which will take place by the end of the month, to add much-needed space.
“Our new quarters have 1,400 square feet, double the size of our old location,” he told The Ledger. “The new space is beautiful and we are sure our clients will be very happy with it.”
Dr. Stern is so certain that the new space is right for him that he has signed a 10-year lease.
“I am a chiropractor by training, and the work that I do, called Network Spinal Analysis (NSA), is a transformational technique. I am one of only 300 chiropractors in the world with advanced certification.”
Using NSA, Dr. Stern can treat all kinds of chronic illness, including digestive, immune and endocrine disorders. “My practice is not just spinal manipulation,” he said. “I am a firm believer in the effectiveness of the low force, gentle techniques that NSA requires.”
In addition to Dr. Stern, his practice will include a nutritionist, massage therapist, personal trainer, and other hands-on healing techniques. “I offer a much broader spectrum of services than you see in traditional chiropractic practices,” he said.
Dr. Stern is a major proponent of NSA. “With this type of care, the body loses its tension and people relax completely and actually undulate on the table,” he said. “They love it.”
Dr. Stern said that many sicknesses come from a nervous system that is “in defense.”
“The defense is centered in the spinal cord, which can come under extreme tension,” he said. “That extreme tension causes the spinal cord to torque, which then leads to a frequency change throughout the body. You have to address the nervous system to treat chronic illness.”
Dr. Stern said his average patient comes to the Stern Wellness Center 50 times a year because of the excellent results achieved.
“I am very happy and optimistic about this move,” he said. “We have outgrown our current space, but while we were here have met many great people and made many valuable contacts. I plan on maintaining a practice that is very different — 60% network spinal analysis and 40% wellness coaching. I like to help transform my patients’ lives, and we provide services that can make that happen.”
