District hires security, safety firm

The board unanimously approved the hiring of the Altaris Consulting Group to conduct a security needs assessment for the district. The audit is expected to take up to five months and will come at a cost of $27,000 to the district. The district had a similar audit in 2003. The consulting group was hired by the board at the suggestion of Dr. Kreutzer as a response to concerns by parents regarding security and safety after the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The Altaris Consulting Group has also been hired by the town of Bedford to perform a similar service.

  1. Of course, at least 2 steps behind Bedford. Kreutzer appears unable to follow through with an independent thought.

    • Have you thought of moving to Bedford so you can be safer? Speaking of independent thought maybe you should practice what you preach.

  2. Lewis Boro – you must be in love with Kreutzer? Are you in his pocket?

    • No just a working stiff that has lived here and watched the cry baby yuppies destroy a good solid middle class community. When the financial house of cards came crashing down the school board made a bold decision and hired someone who has the guts to confront the various unions and resident enablers. Unlike the union and its sympathizers I care about my community’s ability to survive and prosper.
