KLSD revises driver education policy

The board passed a resolution to alter the district’s driver education policy, which now allows district residents who do not attend district schools to participate in the driver education program so long as they pay for themselves to participate. The change came in response to a district family’s plea to amend the policy as their child was a few weeks away from enrolling in driver education and the former district policy neither prohibited nor permitted participation by non-student residents in the course.
