After quickly making appointments to the town’s many committees at their organizational meeting on Monday, Jan. 7, Town Board members also took action in other areas. They named several town consultants, re-appointed individuals to a variety of positions and finalized other matters of town business.
Several additional items were also included on the agenda, including fund transfers and approval of membership in professional organizations.
Town Clerk Janet Donohue was reappointed as elections officer with a term ending Jan. 31, 2013; marriage officer with a term ending Dec. 31, 2015; and registrar of vital statistics for a one-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013.
Paul Bauer was reappointed deputy building inspector for a one-year term effective Jan. 1, 2013. Christine McKenna was appointed dog control officer for a one-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013.
Lawrence Praga of Keane & Beane PC of White Plains was reappointed as special counsel to the Planning Board effective Jan. 1, 2013. Margaret Clark of North Salem was reappointed as special counsel for Planning, Zoning and Building Department matters effective Jan. 1, 2013. Greg Monteleone was appointed as town prosecutor effective Jan. 1, 2013.
The firm of Herodes & Mole PC was reappointed as attorneys for the town subject to a negotiated contract, effective Jan. 1, 2013.
Kellard Sessions Consulting PC was reappointed as town engineers and town wetlands planner and wetlands inspector subject to a negotiated contract, effective Jan. 1, 2013.
The firm of O’Connor Davies Munns & Dobbins LLP was appointed town auditors for the year ending Dec. 31, 2013.
The town approved memberships in the following professional organizations for 2013, pending the payment of required dues: Association of Towns of New York State, Westchester Municipal Officials Association, Westchester Putnam Association of Town Supervisors, Westchester Municipal Planning Federation, and New York Planning Federation.
Town Supervisor Peter Parsons was appointed as 2013 delegate to the Association of Towns at its annual meeting. Town Board member Dan Welsh was appointed alternate delegate.
Building Inspector Peter Barrett and his deputy, Mr. Bauer, were appointed as fire inspectors for one-year terms effective Jan. 1, 2013.
Mr. Parsons made several one-year appointments, including Connie Green-O’Donnell as his confidential secretary; Peter DeLucia as his deputy supervisor; Mary Hafter as deputy town clerk, deputy elections officer and deputy registrar of vital statistics; Joseph Posadas as deputy highway superintendent; Maureen Kohl as town historian; and Deidre Casper as deputy receiver of taxes.
Officials designated The Lewisboro Ledger as the town’s official newspaper.
The board authorized the supervisor to sign the 2013 agreement with the Lewisboro Library.
The Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Signature Bank, TD Bank, and Putnam County Savings Bank were all approved as depositories for town funds during 2013.
Regular Town Board meetings will be held on the second and fourth Monday of the month at the Lewisboro Library beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Work sessions will be held as the board deems necessary on the first and/or third Monday of the month at the library.
