Enclosed are 59 parking receipts dated Friday, Dec. 14, and Monday, Dec. 17, that were strewn on the ground at the southern location stop in Goldens Bridge. The machines spit the receipts out, and patrons must have chosen to throw them to the ground rather than save them for the garbage or put them in their pockets.
Could the town of Lewisboro or the LAZ Parking please provide proper receptacles next to these machines? Either that or dispense of the receipts which would be the preferred remedy. I couldn’t believe the sight in front of the machines when I drove up on Dec. 17, to drop someone off.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has sole control of the area of the Train Station and is in control of the parking. The Town of Lewisboro has no power to make changes there.

Each receipt has the spot the car is parked in – simply tape the receipt to the window of the car with a big sign saying litterbug. Problem solved
It is an absolute disgrace that people have such lack of respect for public space that that fell free to litter when all you have to do is put the receipt in your pocket till you get to a garbage bin..
