A team of reindeer is coming down from the North Pole (also known as Buffalo) to spend Thursday, Dec. 13, at the Country Children’s Center in Katonah. The reindeer and their handlers will be on hand from 9 to 5 on Thursday to delight youngsters at the CCC’s “Farm” location on Route 35.
The CCC will hold its annual Polar Express Holiday Party the same day, featuring a scale model of the famous train, complete with hand-made terrain, all done by Katonah resident Fran Resch. CCC Executive Director Polly Peace will don her flannel gown and granny glasses and read The Polar Express to the children. Santa is also planning several surprise visits during the day, and holiday treats will abound.
