The John Jay girls basketball team got into the win column on Tuesday night thanks to a big 60-33 win over North Salem at home.
The Indians (1-1) took a 29-17 lead into halftime and blew things wide open midway through the second half.
Sarah Lang posted 15 points and eight rebounds to lead John Jay in both departments, and Sydney Glenn had 12 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Delaney Spencer had seven points, three rebounds and three steals, and Courtney Knox finished with six points (hitting two three-pointers), three rebounds and two assists. Sasha Puglisi had five points, four rebounds and three assists, and Molly Newcomb supplied two points, six rebounds and one assist.
Haley Spencer and Tierney Spencer scored four points each, and Sarah Secret and Eilish Newcomb each had two points. Jordan Johnson had one point and three rebounds. Eilish Newcomb and Johnson also had an assist each. Haley Spencer pulled down two rebounds and Marielle Christie had one rebound.
All three Delaneys had a three-pointer in the win, as did Glenn.
