On Saturday night, Frazier Bostwick scored all three goals in the Indians’ 3-2 win over Hen Hud, a game that John Jay dominated but could not put away as Hen Hud goalie Zach Shapiro had 52 saves.
The Indians (3-0) also routed Brewster on Friday, 11-0.
In Saturday’s win, Bostwick scored with under five minutes left in the first period to stake John Jay to a 1-0 lead.

Brett Dalton scored his second goal to bring Hen Hud back to within one with 6:46 left in the period.
The Indians had 24 shots on goal in the third per but could not get the puck past Shapiro. Matt Lanza also came up big in goal for John Jay, with two big saves late in the game to preserve the win.
“Shapiro played great. We had good chances and he turned most of them away. We needed to capitalize on our power play. We were a bit impatient,” commented John Jay coach Alex Smith. “Our offense generated more chances Saturday than Friday. Shows you how important goaltending can be.”
