Educational native plant garden planned for Leon Levy

Frederick P Rose Preserve 3

The Lewisboro Land Trust has been a part of a growing local and regional effort to maintain and foster diverse ecosystems to protect wildlife and their habitats.

Lewisboro Land Trust has been selected for a grant from the Jerome Levy Foundation to create a native plant garden surrounding the new parking area at the Leon Levy Preserve on Route 123. This new garden will be maintenance-free and deer resistant, and all plants will be labeled so that visitors will be encouraged to create a similar landscape on their own properties. Planting will begin in the spring.
