Library holds book groups for adults

The Lewisboro Library is associated with two book groups for adults that meet on a monthly basis. The Lewisboro Library Book Group usually meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

Due to Thanksgiving, the book group will meet on the fourth Wednesday this month (Nov. 28). The group will be discussing Delta Wedding by Eudora Welty. There is no meeting in December. The book group resumes again on Jan. 16, when it will be discussing Richard Ford’s Canada. Books are available through the Westchester Library System. New members are always welcome in this adult co-ed book group. For more information, call Myrna or Steve Shomstein at 533-2550.

The Lewisboro Seniors Book Group meets during the Lewisboro Senior Adults meeting at the South Salem firehouse, usually on the third Wednesday of each month at 11. This group has also decided to meet on the fourth Wednesday this month. Its book selection for Nov. 28 is Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford. The library will provide copies of the book to all participants. Large-print copies and CD audiobooks are also available upon request. All seniors are welcome to participate. Please contact the library if you need a copy of the book.
