Highway Superintendent Peter Ripperger recently received a 10-year attendance award at the 69th annual School for Highway Superintendents.
The event is co-sponsored by the Association of Towns of the State of New York, Albany and the Cornell Local Roads Program, Ithaca.
About 700 local highway and public works officials attend the school every year. It features short presentations of general interest to highway officials in the mornings and afternoon workshops lasting 75 minutes each. Demonstrations of new and innovative highway maintenance and technology are also given.
